Tarantula in our cabin

This frendly Trantula lived in our cabin.

One of our cabin-mates.  It seemed  friendly, did not bother us and was about the size of an average persons hand,

Hammock with mosquito net was comfortable.

There was no real need for the mosquito nets. There were very few troublsome insects.

Freshwater Porpoise are fairly common in the rivers of the Amazon.

There is a rich folklore concerning dolphins derived among the river cultures.

The dolphin in the picture is completely wild with no enclosure what so ever.  People can swim with wild dolphins.  Amazonian dolphin have a habit of constantly investigating any human activity on or in the water.
