A squirrel monkey in the trees.  The troops average 20 to 50 individuals.  Squirrel monkeys are very omnivorous but show a strong preference for fruit when it is available.

Miniaturization is common in the Amazon.  The greatest diversity of frogs and toads associated with Amazonian rivers is found just above the water's surface on floating or forest vegetation.  Only the tadpoles are aquatic.
